Negativity

"The marks humans leave are too often scars"
-John Green, The Fault In Our Stars

The people of this modern age are far too negative and hurtful. This is usually not the person's fault but there environment and the people they surround themselves with. Negativity is so easily spread from person to person. Without thinking people will say a hurtful or rude comment and this will just continue with little thought of next person. The worse thing is nothing is truly forgiven. No matter how many times you say sorry and no matter how many times they say they forgive you nothing is ever truly forgiven. It will always be at the back of their minds. It makes me and probably you think have I always be positive? Have I always taken the opportunity to nice? So I always try to make someone smile everyday and this also make me smile! Life would be so much easier if people were a little bit more kinder and a little bit more thoughtful. So this week try make someone smile everyday which will make you smile all the time!

Banana and Chocolate Chip Cake!

Today, I am going to post a delicious recipe for banana and chocolate chip cake. It is quite easy to make and tastes amazing!

Ingredients:
125g of butter or margarine
175g of granulated sugar
2 medium bananas
1 tsp of vanilla essence
210g of self raising flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
2 eggs
1 tbsp of milk
50g of chocolate chips

Method:

1) Preheat the oven to 150°c or gas mark 2.

2) Line a loaf tin with grease-proof paper

3) Put the butter/margarine and sugar into a saucepan and melt gently.

4) In a bowl, mash the bananas with the vanilla essence.

5) Sift the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda into a different bowl.

6) Beat the eggs and milk and add to the dry ingredients.

7) Mix in the mashed bananas and the melted butter/margarine

8) Quickly add the chocolate chips and mix. Make sure they don't melt too much!

9) Pour into the loaf tin and cook in oven for 1 hour and leave to cool for about 20 minutes.

6 Books You Must Read!

Here are 6 books/series that you must read:

1) The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
The Heart warming story of cancer survivor Hazel Grace Lancaster. If you haven't already read it then where have you been? A must read by John Green best-selling author of Paper Towns and Looking For Alaska. The film comes out in the UK on the 20th June!

2) Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Set in a dystopian future, society is split into five different factions and at the age of 16 you can choose: Candor (The honest), Amity (The peaceful), Abnegation (The Selfless), Erudite (The Intelligent) and Dauntless (The Brave). What will Beatrice Prior choose? Also a film.

3) The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins
Almost everyone has read this so I will keep it short: Every year, one boy and one girl, from each district, are chosen and sent to Capital to fight to the death. Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her sister  but will she survive? And also a film!

4) Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
You have probably seen the film but the book is so much better! When a mysterious girl moves into the creepy old house in the small town of Gatlin Country, Ethan Wate some how has a connection with her. This is the story of the two uncovering dark and dangerous secret that could change everything. The story is quite different to the film so is still worth reading!

5) Vivian Versus The Apocalypse by Katie Coyle
The incredible story of Vivian Apple and her road trip across America. With surprises around every corner, this book is a great read and the next on the way I suggest getting your hands on a copy as soon as possible!

6) When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr
The lovely story of Anna and her family leaving Germany in search of a new life. Based during WW2, a great historical read!

You have probably read most of these already but I hope you have enjoyed reading this and have found a new book!
Thank you!
Bye!
